EKO Sustainable Products offer eco-friendly silicone products in smaller, consumer sized packages. While our brand is relatively new, our parent company ECO USA has been in operation since 2009. The first and only silicone recycling plant in North America, where all EKO silicone products are manufactured, was commissioned in 2018. With our own proprietary recycling process for silicones, this full-scale facility located in Parkersburg, West Virginia is responsible of diverting more than 500 tons of silicone rubber scrap away from landfills monthly!

As the leading silicone recycler in the world, we've perfected the silicone recycling process. Needless to say, our products are made to the highest standards. In fact, our silicone oils are distributed in bulk and is being used as raw materials by numerous well-known brands and manufacturers throughout the world. In fact, you may have already used our products without realizing it.

As a bulk distributer of silicone oil with a minimum order quantity over 1 metric ton, we have had numerous inquiries for our products in small packaging throughout the years. We're extremely proud to finally introduce EKO Sustainable Products, eco-friendly silicone for everyday consumers.

Since day one, our goal has been to create eco-friendly silicone products that are sustainable and promotes a closed loop system. As more and more products are being replaced by silicone rubber, for example, your everyday kitchenware, baby products and automotive parts, a good end-life solution is an ever-pressing matter. With no where to recycle silicone rubber, most of this waste ends up in landfills or the incinerators.

Manufacturing silicone from scratch is an extremely energy intensive process involving the mining of quartz (silicon dioxide) and heating it to up to 1800°C to produce metallurgic silicon. For every kg of silicone produced, approximately 7.12 kg of carbon is generated and released. These are astronomical figures that can be significantly reduced by recycling.

We strive everyday to improve our collection and silicone recycling processes to increase efficiency and lower carbon footprint. The silicone oil we produce has a significantly lower carbon footprint when compare to ordinary silicone oil. In the near future, instead of producing silicone oil, we will have the capability to manufacture silicone rubber from silicone rubber waste thereby "closing the loop". These are truly exciting times for us and the recycling industry.

The word "recycled" often comes with the idea that a product is lower in quality. This is not the case for silicone and our recycling process. When silicone rubber is recycled in our facility, it's broken down chemically into silicone building blocks. After a purification process, these blocks are put back together as silicone oil without degradation.

The recycling process is similar to lego blocks being built and then broken down. This can be done over and over again without damage to the legos itself. In the same manner, EKO's silicone products have the same specifications and properties as regular, "prime-grade" silicones. Therefore, we guarantee our silicone products to work equally well and at the same time have much lower carbon impact.
